Exhibits and share links
========================

One comparison as a PDF to file, or as a read-only link to send.

Article 3 of 4

 An export carries a whole plan. An exhibit and a share link carry one comparison: what one page said at two moments. Both start from a page's **Versions** tab, with two versions checked.

An exhibit
----------

**Print as an exhibit** makes a PDF on A4 and downloads it. It holds:

- the page's address, the two moments compared, and how many words went and came;
- for each side: the version's first and last capture, how many captures show it, the time of its first capture in UTC, the status the site answered with, the address in the web archive, the SHA-256 of the bytes, and the archive's digest with whether the bytes match it;
- the removal, if the archive shows one for the page;
- every changed section, word by word: what went is struck through, what came is bold and underlined;
- how to read it, and how to check it without Yore.

With **The whole page** switched on, the exhibit compares the whole page and says so.

Yore keeps each exhibit under the SHA-256 of the PDF. [The verify page](https://yore.steddle.com/docs/evidence/verify-a-file) recognises the file and states when it was made. A changed copy isn't recognised.

A share link
------------

**Share this comparison** makes a link. Whoever holds it sees that one comparison, read-only, without signing in: the two captures with their hashes and web archive addresses, and the changed sections. Nothing else of the plan is reachable through it.

A shared page is kept out of search engines. The link is long and random, but it isn't a secret you control once you've sent it: anyone it's forwarded to can open it.

Revoke a link
-------------

A page lists its own open links beside its comparison, each with **Revoke**. A plan's **Export** tab lists every share link of the plan under **Share links**, with the page it shows and when it was made. **Revoke** closes a link for everyone who holds it. A revoked link answers with a refusal, and can't be opened again. Deleting a plan removes its links and its exports.

 Checked against the code on 1 October 2026.
